Thurmond Floyd Elliott

Thurmond Floyd Elliott, 76, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Fort Worth. A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 4, at 4 p.m. in Red Top Cemetery in Young County. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Thurmond was born Dec. 31, 1940 in Graham, to the late Floyd and Natalia (Thigpen) Elliott. He married Kay Ridenour Feb. 29, 1992 in Wichita Falls. Thurmond was a cattle truck driver for many years. He also drove for an oil company and American Freightways. He worked many years in the family business at Longhorn Trailer and Body in Wichita Falls. Thurmond retired from Mike's Westside Rental. He had a great love for his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Survivors include his wife, Kay Elliott of Possum Kingdom Lake; daughters, Shelly Stout and husband, Dan of Olpe, Kan., Denise Norman of Brock, Diane Davis and husband, Jerry of Prosper and Tisha Pemberton of Possum Kingdom Lake; son, Brian Pemberton and wife, Blanca of Peaster; sister, Christine Reid and husband, Eldon of Kountze; brother, Ted Elliott and wife Barbara of Abilene; grandchildren, Kaylie, Dylan and Brady Davis, Ty and Kate Norman, Brennan and Mya Pemberton, and Danielle, Shelby and Chance Stout; great grandson, Carter, several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
