Tommy Lee Grace

Tommy Lee Grace, 63, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, in Graham. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Graham High School Gymnasium. Burial will follow in Gordon New Cemetery in Gordon under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.


Tommy was born Oct. 15, 1952, in Odessa to the late Albert Thomas, Jr. and Myra Belle (Huskey) Grace. He attended Bronte Elementary School, graduated from Gordon High School, and received his Master’s from Tarleton State University. Tommy was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He married Debra Marleen Strain on Dec. 23, 1972, in Gordon. Tommy was a Coach and Teacher for Graham ISD. He was a member of Texas High School Football Association and Coaches Outreach Association.


Survivors include his wife, Debra Grace of Graham; daughter, Kelley Schmidt and husband Andrew of League City; son, Jeff Grace and wife Jessica of Montgomery; sister, Jackie Corley and husband Benny of Bronte; brother, Albert “Buddy” Grace, III and wife Linda of Iowa Park; grandchildren, Logan, Ryan, Joshua and Hattie Belle Grace, all of Montgomery, and Kyle Schmidt of League City; father and mother-in-law, R.B. and Lois Strain of Gordon; brothers-in-law, Kevin Strain of Gordon and Kris Strain and wife Brenda of College Station; sister-in-law, Cindy Brown and husband Charlie of Weatherford; and a host of nieces, nephews and a multitude of students and athletes.


Visitation will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
