A reception in tribute to the life of Vickie Maltony Arrell will be held April 29 from 4-7 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Graham, her 61st birthday.

She was a graduate of Cuero High School and Midwestern State University. After a nine-year career in criminal justice as an adult probation officer in Snyder and Gonzales, the past 14 years she had taught in the Cuero ISD, the last six years in 7th grade Texas History and 8th grade U.S. History. She married Rocky Arrell on July 27, 1994, in Snyder and they moved to Cuero in 1996.

Vickie is survived by husband Rocky, daughter and son Marlayna McKinley and Ryan McKinley of Cuero, son Tyler McKinley of Austin, son Eric Arrell and daughter Lisa Budarf and son-in-law Jim Budarf of Graham, grandchildren Trey Budarf, Jackson Budarf, Easton Budarf, Eli Arrell, Ean Arrell and Eliza Arrell all of Graham, Hannah Sheffel, Hazel Sheffel and Heide Sheffel of Cuero. Memorial respects may be made in Graham to Open Door Chrisian School/Theatre Arts Fund.
