Weldon Potts, 86, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 in Burleson. Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Weldon was born July 28, 1930 in Jack County, to the late Hugh Dinsmore and Ada (Ainsworth) Potts. He married Ruby Dean Ashburn on Aug. 6, 1955 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Weldon worked for Heath Electric as an electrician and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Potts of Graham; daughter, Pam Hinson of Mansfield; sister, Virgie Young and husband, Sterman, of Post; brother, J.R. Potts and wife, Reta, of Graham; grandchildren, Monica Whitehead and Noal Hinson; great-grandchildren, Monty Whitehead, Chase Hinson, Brooklyn Hinson and Meagan Dean Hinson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, C.L. and Vernon Potts.
