Wendell B. Harrison of Graham passed away May 6, 2020 at the age of 93. He was reunited with his beloved wife of 60 years, Juanita Briggs Harrison. A graveside service was held at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhiite Funeral Home.

Wendell was born in Erath County, Jan. 27, 1927 to Clyde Harrison and Thelma Reeves Harrison. After graduating from Comyn High School in Comanche County, Wendell began a short career as a peanut farmer in the Highland Community outside of Dublin, Texas. After one, less than successful crop he decided to head to the oil patch of West Texas. There he began a long career in the oil and gas service industry. He went to work for AMF Tuboscope where he enjoyed a 30-year career that eventually brought him and his family to Graham.

For those that truly knew Wendell, they knew these three things about him: he loved his family above all things, he thought of himself as a great outdoorsman that could out fish or garden anyone and he loved sports of any kind and would follow many teams with great passion. He was known by many names: Wendell, WB and his favorite Papa.

To his caregivers of the last months, thank you for your love and care for our dad. A special thank you to Kati Eversole, who was his helper and his friend. To Beyond Faith Hospice and Seniorly Yours, thank you for the compassion shown to him and to his family.

He is survived by children; son Gary and his wife Melett; daughter, Donna Montgomery; son Jerry Harrison and his wife Sasha; grandchildren Monica Harrison, Stacy Paulson, Daniel Heffley, Remington Harrison, Matthew Montgomery, Caroline Fernandez, Sarah Simmons, Emory Weber, Lucas Harrison and Rylan Harrison; great-grandchildren Levi, Brooklynn, Katelynn, Tanner, Maxwell, Mason, Evie, Charlotte, Camila, Mateo Parker, and also dear friends Glen, Delores and Glenda Adams.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Meals on Wheels of Graham or Our Daily Bread at First United Methodist Church, Graham.
