William ‘Bill’ Golden

William "Bill" Golden, 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 in Graham. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. in Oak Street Baptist Church. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Bill was born Aug. 6, 1938 in Electra, to the late Reeves Black and Etta Dell (Walkup) Golden. He graduated from Electra High School and married Marsha Brown on Aug. 23, 1957 in Electra. Bill owned and operated Golden's Radiator Shop for over 40 years in Graham and he was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Golden of Graham; daughters, Sydney Loftis and husband, Marshall of Graham, Kelli Roye and husband, Ross of Graham, and Wendy Farquhar and husband, Kirk of Midland; sister, Reva Jo Pickering of Waco; grandchildren, Daniel, Heather, Matthew and Thomas Abright, Eric Roye and wife, Kassie, Sarah and Hannah Roye, and Jamieson and Gracie Farquhar; and great-grandchildren, Kyler and Rhett Roye. He was preceded in death by a sister, Holley Bea Golden and a brother, David Lee Golden. Visitation was held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Young County Humane Society, Agape Ministries at Oak Street Baptist Church, or Samaritans at First United Methodist Church.
