Wilma Faye (Luna) York, 85, passed away on March 4, 2021 in Llano, TX, to be with her Heavenly Father and her late husband Jerry York. Visitation will be held at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham, TX, on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. Graveside services will be in Pioneer Cemetery on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Wilma was born on April 1, 1935 to Ward and Ruby Luna. Wilma was a mother and homemaker, there was always food on the stove and the door was unlocked for anyone to come in. They might not have had much, but she and Jerry always made sure their family had everything they needed.  She loved her kids and grandkids more than anything, but her pride and joy were her great grandchildren. Wilma assisted with their family business, York Electric from 1979-2012, she ran the “shop” as the secretary, bookkeeper, and played many other vital roles.

While she lived in Graham she was very active in her church community and enjoyed teaching Sunday school class to little children. She worshiped the Lord when she wasn’t in church by listening and watching The Gaither Family Gospel Singers.  Wilma loved watching sports of any kind especially basketball and tennis, reading books and the Graham Leader, and visiting with anyone who would listen. She always had the phone in hand to check in on her family or to give the latest gossip. In her last few years, she enjoyed going to the dining hall to sit with her friend Mary Ellen to work on devious plans to play jokes on the staff at Celeste Care, play bingo on Wednesdays, and attend church services on Sundays.

She is survived by her only living sibling Dwayne Luna of Garland, her children and their families: Son Michael and wife Vevalyn York of Brenham, grandson Joshua and wife Sabrina, great granddaughters Braelynn and Brielle York of Brenham. Daughter Jerri Gail and husband Dennis Howard of Southlake, grandson Daniel and wife Alicia, great grandson Dylan of Irving. Daughter Greta and husband Brent Swenson of Granite Shoals, granddaughter Cheyenne and husband Blake, and great grandson Wesson Schulze of Kingsland.

Wilma leaves behind countless extended family members that she loved and cherished including her late sister’s husband Dale Baker.

Wilma was preceded in death by her brother and sisters: Winnie Maye Wilma’s twin, Wilburn Luna, Jolene Smith, and Barbara Baker.
