Zeb Sumpter, 82, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 in Graham. A memorial graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 31, at 2 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Zeb was born Oct. 9, 1934 in Noodle, to the late Lillie Bell Martin and Zebie Marion Sumpter Sr. He has been a resident of Graham since 1961. Zeb was the owner of Speedy Bail Bond in Graham for several years. He married June Hutto on Nov. 23, 1979. She preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 2005. Survivors include his sons, Randy Sumpter and wife Marsha, Sam Sumpter and wife Debbie, all of Graham; step-daughter, Diane Ostapuk of Page, Ariz.; brothers, Cecil Sumpter and Larry Sumpter, both of Breckenridge; sister, Mary Margaret McKee of Perryton; and granddaughters, Amy and Tara Ostapuk of Arizona. Zeb was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Brockman, and a brother, Eddie Sumpter.
