Beauford Wayne “Bo” Quaid

Beauford Wayne “Bo” Quaid went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 3, at United Regional in Wichita Falls. Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 2 p.m. at the McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Newcastle Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Roy Calvin Rhoades

Roy Calvin Rhoades, age 82, passed away on Sept. 1, in Fort Worth. He was born on Aug. 27, 1940, in Vashti, Texas to Roy Rhoades and Ava Faye (Campsey) Rhoades.

A visitation was held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Coker Funeral Home. Burial followed at Hicks Cemetery.

Roy married Velda King on July 14, 1962, in Decatur. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Jimmie Kay Clayborn

Jimmie Kay Clayborn, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 23. A graveside celebration of life was held on Friday, Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. at Medlan Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jimmie Kay was born on Sept. 17, 1947 in Graham to the late Holland “Buck” Sumner Freeman and Jewel Dean Alexander. She married the love of her life, Orland Clayborn, on Aug. 22, 1992 in Graham, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2005.

Robin LaSha Foust Daws

Robin LaSha Foust Daws passed away on Aug. 30 at Garden Terrace Healthcare Center in Graham, following a short illness. She was born Oct. 6, 1970 in Fort Worth. She was the daughter of Jerry and Dee Dunnam of Graham.

She attended Graham Schools, graduating in 1989. She graduated from Texas Tech in 1993, and received her Master’s Degree in Library Science from TWU in 2003.

Robin married Keith Daws from Olney on Sept. 4, 1993, and they were married 26 years, and had two sons, Bucky and Koy, who were the joy of her life.

Mike McNallen

Mike McNallen, 83, of Possum Kingdom, passed away in Dallas, on Aug. 27, surrounded by family. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, Aug. 30, in the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories in Breckenridge, with Father Francis Miller officiating. His interment in the Breckenridge Cemetery was under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Billie Downey

Billie Downey passed on Tuesday, Aug. 16. She was born to parents Robert Chick and Carrie Rodgers in Graford, on March 29, 1929. Most of her adult career was in Retail Management, managing two Circle K’s in Graham and owning a restaurant in Houston. She is preceded in death by Her husband Hollis, her sons Donald and Charlie Ray, and grandson Shane Mikel. Graveside services are to be in Jean, at 9 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, beside her husband. Arrangements will be with McMillan-Satterwite Funeral Home.

John Ben Schlittler

John Ben Schlittler, 89, passed away Friday, Aug. 12 in Abilene. Graveside funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Graham. Arrangements were under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

John was born Feb. 23, 1933, on the banks of the Brazos River in Palo Pinto County.
