Mabel C. Wells

Mabel C. Wells, 88, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 in Fort Worth. A graveside funeral will be held Wednesday, May 24, at 3 p.m. in Proffitt Cemetery in Young County. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. A memorial service will be Thursday, May 25, at 1 p.m. in North Fort Worth Baptist Church. Mabel was born March 12, 1929 to Mabel Crain Wells and Hawes C. Wells in the Proffitt Community near Graham. She attended school in Newcastle and received a bachelor of business degree from Hardin Simmons University.

Gene Russell

Gene Russell, 87, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 in Graham. His funeral was Monday, May 22, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction Morrison Funeral Home. Gene was born June 29, 1929 in Comanche, Okla., to the late John Henry and Dovie Jewell (Rutherford) Russell. He married Betty Jean Jones, April 8, 1950 in Goree. Gene moved to Graham in 1962 from Wichita Falls.

Daniel Harrison Elie Grafton

Daniel Harrison Elie Grafton passed away May 20, 2017. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 217 at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home in Graham. Daniel was born Dec. 7, 1993 in Graham, and had lived there most of his life. He worked for Buchanan Building Supply and by the age of 14, Daniel worked as a roofer and held numerous jobs throughout the years to help take care of his Mom and siblings. He was registered to get his Comp TIA A+.

Pat Goodwin

Pat Goodwin, 79, passed away Saturday May 20, 2017 in Graham. Her funeral will be Wednesday, May 24, at 11 a.m. in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Pat was born Nov. 5, 1937 in Paris, Texas, to the late Edgar T. and Jessie Thelma (Smith) Wilson. She married Larry Goodwin, April 28, 1956 in Plainview. Pat moved to Graham in 1976 from Lubbock. She was a former secretary for Graham Wholesale Floral and a member of First Baptist Church.

Jerry (Geraldine) Cox

Jerry (Geraldine) Cox, 84, died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at her home in Olney. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Restland Cemetery in Olney, with Steve Collard, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney. Jerry was born Dec. 23, 1932 in Golden, to the late Lewis and Rosa (Thomas) Bishop. She married Charlie Clinton Newsom in 1950 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She later married Houston Cox. Jerry was a retired mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney.

Garon Layne Davis

Garon Layne Davis, 19, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017 in Jal, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 23, at 10 a.m. in Oak Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Medlan Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Garon was born Jan. 14, 1998 in Wichita Falls, to Karri Mychele Willingham and Ricky Glenn Davis. He graduated from Chico High School and worked in the oilfield. Garon made an impact on everyone he came in contact with.

Mildred D. ‘Billie’ Robinson

Mildred D. "Billie" Robinson passed away May 11, 2017 at her home in Graham. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Billie was born May 8, 1923 in Butte, Mont., to Roy and Mae (Whindom) Redlich. She and her husband, Elmer B. Robinson, moved to Graham in 1982 from Columbia, Maryland. Mr. Robinson preceded her in death in 1995. Survivors include two sons, Richard Robinson of Graham and Ronald Robinson of California; a nephew, Ralph Stroup of Graham; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Claudia Jean Carter Wilemon Moses

Our Mother passed away at Hunt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, on Friday, May 12, 2017. Mother was born on Nov. 17, 1938 in Peniel, to Roy Mason Carter and Susan Viola Morris Carter. She had two older sisters, Iva Lee Carter Roberts and Anita Carter Wallace, as well one younger brother, Roy “Bud” Mason Carter Jr. Mother married Jett Urbin Wilemon on Aug. 11, 1956. Their marriage lasted 19 years, until Jett’s passing in 1975. On May 12, 1978, she married Jesse Leroy Moses. Their marriage lasted 38 years, until Jesse’s passing on Sept.

Adeline Bertha Diersing, 95, of Graham, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 in Graham. A Rosary was held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 15, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial followed at 2 p.m. at Seymour Catholic Cemetery in Seymour. Margaret ‘Maggie’ Lawrencine Culp

Margaret "Maggie" Lawrencine Culp went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at her home in Graham, surrounded by her loving family. Maggie was born on July 23, 1930 in Gainesville, to the late Lawrence and Vera (Duncan) Davis. She was united in marriage on Jan. 28, 1949 in Wilmington, N.C., to William Emerson Culp, an active member in the U.S. Marine Corps. William and Maggie had a beautiful, loving relationship throughout his military career and subsequent teaching career at Cooke County Community College.
