Donald A. Stone

Donald A. Stone, 76, passed away March 14, 2017, in Fort Worth. Donald was born Nov. 10, 1940 in Graham, to Harvey Estes Stone and Lorene Askew Stone. He lived in Graham until he retired from Hexcel Corporation and moved to Mineral Wells and finally to Weatherford. He enjoyed upgrading his home and maintaining it to a top-notch condition.

Pat Spencer

Pat Spencer, 86, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in Graham. A graveside funeral will be held Wednesday, March 22, at 11 a.m. in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Pat was born June 27, 1930 in Newcastle, to the late Richard Parker Robertson and Lula Mae Kemp Robertson. She married Billy Mac “Bill” Spencer, Aug. 9, 1952 in Eunice, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 2008. Pat moved to Graham in 1975 from Albuquerque, N.M.

Monroe B. Robertson

Monroe B. Robertson, 89, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at his home in Jean. His funeral is 2 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Morrison Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Monroe was born July 25, 1927 in Graham, to the late John Thomas and Maudie Mary Carter Robertson. He married Geraldine Brooks on Oct. 30, 1948 in Graham. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2013. Monroe was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a retired logistics engineer for General Dynamics in Fort Worth.

Frank Edward ‘Eddie’ Gellner

Frank Edward "Eddie" Gellner passed away March 18, 2017 in Dallas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the First United Methodist Church in Graham, with interment following at Rock Creek Cemetery near Bryson. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. Eddie was born Jan. 2, 1945 in Burkburnett, and had lived in Graham for the past 30 years.

Ruth Poynor Franklin

Ruth Poynor Franklin, 94, passed away at home in Graham on March 20, 2017. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. March 25 in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery Ranger. Ruth was born Sept. 9, 1922 in Mason, to the late Dean and Nancy (Kiser) Poynor. She married Olan Maurice “Reese” Franklin on Nov. 28, 1942, in Valparaiso, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1987. She worked in the Paramount Hotel during the war.

James Sloan Everett Jr.

James Sloan Everett Jr., of Breckenridge, was called to his eternal home on Monday evening, March 6, 2017, alive in Christ. He died trying to protect his cattle and the lives of those with him from a Texas Panhandle wildfire. He was 35. Sloan was born in Abilene, on Sept. 8, 1981 and grew up in Breckenridge. He graduated from Breckenridge High School with honors in 2000 and went on to attend Baylor University, graduating magna cum laude in 2004 with a bachelor of business administration degree, double majoring in finance and entrepreneurship.

John Wayne Campbell

John Wayne Campbell, 67, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, with Scotte Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Family visitation will be Friday, March 24, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Roy Thomas Pitcock Sr.

Roy Thomas Pitcock Sr., 87, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at his residence in Graham. Memorial services will be held Monday, March 20, at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Roy was born March 20, 1929 in Sylvester, to the late Louis and Medora Shepherd Pitcock, while Louis was drilling a well there. They lived on the farm in Ranger, moved to Eastland, and when Roy was 5, moved to Graham. He graduated from Graham High School and received a football scholarship to play at Texas Christian University from 1949 to 1952.

Nan Ryan

Novelist Nan Ryan died peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday March 14, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was born in Graham on Aug. 11, 1936, to Glen Henderson and Roxy Bost. Her father was a rancher postmaster in Bryson. She was educated at Abilene Christian College. She held many jobs in Dallas including announcing arrivals and departures for Trailways Bus Co., and selling real estate for Virginia Cook. She met and married Joe Ryan, of Commerce, in 1964. The ceremony was performed by County Clerk Tom Ellis, Joe's old company commander.

Jerald Glen ‘Jerry’ Gibson

Jerald Glen Gibson, 75, of Breckenridge, passed away March 10, 2017. He was born Dec. 13, 1941 in Longview, to Jesse and Doris Deaver Gibson. He was a loving and faithful husband of 58 years; an adored father, grandfather and great-grandfather; and a devout and active Christian. Jerry met the love of his life, Judy Wright, on his first day of school in Breckenridge, marrying her in 1959. He was all-state quarterback for the 1958 and 1959 championship teams at Breckenridge High School.
