Marlin Keener

Marlin Keener was found to have died peacefully at his lakeside home on Oct. 26, 2016. He lived in the area, a graduate of Graham High School, for years. After a stay in the mountains, he moved back home to be closer to his family: his son, Aaron Keener and wife, Calli; grandchildren, Corbin, Brock, Deacon and Autumn; daughter, Carolyn and husband, Russ Rogers; grandchildren, Lyndsay, Andrew and Jacob; and two brothers, Johnny and Dean Keener.  Marlin was a member of the PK Westside VFD and attended Westlake Chapel, 701 FM 1148, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 29.

Brenda Kane Martin

Brenda Martin passed into her Lord’s arms on Oct. 24, 2016. She was born in Dallas, the daughter of Thomas Kane and Louise Turner Kane. She married her husband, Richard, on Sept. 11, 1971 in Irving. Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved playing with her grandkids and shopping. A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel in Mineral Wells. A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Community Church of Possum Kingdom.

Rev. Dave Autry Jr.

Rev. Dave Autry Jr., 91, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. in Oasis of Grace. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Autry was born Dec. 27, 1924 in Calvert, to the late Dave and Bulah Thomas Autry. He finished high school in Calvert on May 19, 1944, moved to San Angelo in 1951 and married Vermel Chambers on April 14, 1951. He worked for the Goodfellow Air Force Base and moved to Graham in 1971 to pastor the Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Joanne Elizabeth ‘Jo Beth’ Johnson Carter

Joanne Elizabeth “Jo Beth” Johnson Carter, of Georgetown, died Oct. 12, 2016. She was born Feb. 4, 1941 in Yorktown, but grew up in Graham. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Gabriel Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Georgetown. A celebration of life takes place Saturday, Oct. 22, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Georgetown. Burial follows at IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown.

Gladys Martin Geis

Gladys Martin Geis, 99, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Eliasville Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Gladys was born Jan. 18, 1917 in Eliasville, to the late Robert Dee and Annie Laura (Kirkland) Poindexter. She married Charles R. Martin and he preceded her in death in 1965. She married Ernest W. Geis on March 9, 1972 in Seymour.

Jimmie Olda Sims

Funeral service for Jimmie Olda Sims, 92, will be held Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Woodville United Methodist Church with Rev. Admanda Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville. Visitation will be held Friday at the Woodville United Methodist Church from noon until the time of the service. Sims passed away Oct. 9, 2016 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Born Sept. 1, 1924 on New York Hill in Thurber, he attended schools in Thurber, Gordon, Strawn, Fort Worth, Palo Pinto, Odessa and Graham.

Patsy Sue Atwood

Patsy Sue Atwood went into the arms of Jesus at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. Funeral will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Patsy was born Dec. 28, 1935 in Olney, to the late Warren Heston and Mildred McKinney Whitt. She graduated from Graham High School. Patsy was a member of First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class, the Dickens Carolers, and an active member of the church choir.

Juana Figueroa Villa

Juana Figueroa Villa, 25, passed away Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 in Graham.  Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Oasis of Grace Church under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.  Juana was born June 24, 1991 in Mezquital, Durango, Mexico to Francisco S.
