Mary Louise Hanna

Mary Louise Hanna, 91, went to be with her Lord and beloved husband, Willard, on Sept. 3, 2016, in Jacksboro. Mary was born Dec. 31, 1924, to Thomas and Mattie Horton in Jack County. Mary married the love of her life, Willard Hanna, on Oct. 8, 1941. For the next four years, Mary would follow her Navy sailor by train, plane or bus. They spent 63 years together on a ranch in Squaw Mountain where they labored side by side to work their ranch and raise their family.

Edmond Charles ‘Eddie’ Dalton II

Edmond Charles "Eddie" Dalton II, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 in Young County. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. in Oak Street Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Eddie was born Feb. 15, 1975 in Graham to Priscilla Ann (Jarvis) and Edmond Charles Dalton Sr. He married Nicole Hamill May 31, 1997 in Lewisville. Eddie graduated from Graham High School and worked for ShermCo.

James ‘Jim’ Nash

James “Jim” Nash, 90, died Aug. 29, 2016. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at Cox Funeral Home with Charlie Cox officiating. Burial was 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Hawkins Chapel Cemetery in Loving. Jim was born Nov. 24, 1925 in Young County, to A.R. and Doris Nash. He was raised in Loving, where he graduated high school. He was then drafted into the U.S. Navy, serving briefly before his honorable discharge. He married the love of his life, Doris Crum, on July 4, 1943 in Oklahoma. Jim worked as a farmer in Loving before beginning his career in the cattle business.

Joyce Jacobs Moriarty

Joyce Jacobs Moriarty passed away Aug. 31, 2016 in Graham. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at St. Mary's Parish Hall in Graham, followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was born Feb. 4, 1934 in Texon, to Paul and Ilene Jacobs. She and her younger brother David had many fun times living in Big Lake, where her father and mother ran an insurance agency. Joyce attended the University of Texas where she fell in love with and married a UT football player, Mort Moriarty.

Bobby ‘Bob’ Deryl Gross

Bobby "Bob" Deryl Gross, 83, found peace with his Lord Monday, Aug. 29, 2016 in Graham. His funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 11 a.m. in Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Bob was born Aug. 10, 1933 in Colorado City, to the late Marvin Wesley and Lydia Aileen (Roberson) Gross. Bob joined the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and served until 1956. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in education. He married Faye Dell Kee on June 24, 1977 in Newcastle. Bob moved to Graham in 1992.

Bill D. Duncan

Bill D. Duncan, 76, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, in Wichita Falls. A memorial will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, at 3 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Graham. Bill was born Aug. 10, 1940 in Cave Creek, Ark., to the late William J. and Arritta Mae Duncan. Bill was a master plumber and owner of Duncan Plumbing Company in Graham.

Samantha Marie Alvidrez

Samantha Marie Alvidrez passed away Aug. 28, 2016 in Mineral Wells. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at the Cross Timbers Church in Graham, with Tony Nickel officiating. Interment followed in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. She was born Dec. 16, 1992 in Pecos, and was a graduate of Graham High School.

Jimmie Beth Wells

Jimmie Beth Wells, 62, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 8, 2015 in Jacksonville, Fl.

Beth went to school in Pampas Texas; and went on later to receive her degree in floral design. She worked for security at Naval Air Station- Jacksonville for many years.

Roy Eric Frias

Roy Eric Frias, 33, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Loving.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Faith Center Assembly of God.  Burial will follow in Loving Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.


Eric was born October 13, 1982 in Georgetown to George Roy and Elizabeth (Mata) Frias.  He married Amber Paulette Terasas March 27, 2005 in Pflugerville.  Eric worked in Landscaping and Lawn Care and was a member of Faith Center Assembly of God.

Arvilla Clayborn

Arvilla Clayborn, 80, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Olney.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Newcastle Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.


Arvilla was born March 23, 1936 in Newcastle to the late Claude Bethel and Nellie (Cutts) Hardin.  She married Lee Otis Clayborn January 28, 1956 in Newcaslte.  She was a lifelong resident of Newcastle and a retired Librarian for Newcastle ISD.
