Helen Ann Browning

Helen Ann Browning, 77, of Graham passed away Monday, Aug. 15, 2016. Graveside services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Downing Cemetery, with Karl Baker officiating. Services under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home in Gorman. Helen was born April 2, 1939 in Gorman, to R.V. Lesley and Audrey (Patton) Lesley. She graduated from De Leon High School in 1957. She married Woodrow Browning on Nov. 18, 1960. They had three children, Donna Gatlin, Susan Browning and Gary Browning. Helen worked as secretary/tax collector for Gorman ISD for 20 years.

Jackie Errol Tatsch

Jackie Errol Tatsch, 76, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug. 13, at 1 p.m. at Murray Cemetery in Young County. Jack was born Oct. 12, 1939 in Llano, to Ilda Irena Schneider and Gardner Tatsch. He married Mary Glenn Mayes on Oct. 25, 1958 in Midland, and he adored her for the next 57 years. They had two children: a son, Joe, and a daughter, Pam. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years, starting at age 18 as a lineman.

Marilyn Daily

Marilyn Daily, 57, passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016 at her home in Loving. Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 14, at 3 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Loving Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Marilyn was born Sept. 7, 1958 in Bowie, to the late Len and Patsy Martin. She graduated from Graham High School and was a licensed vocational nurse. She married Dale Daily on May 30, 1975 in Loving. Marilyn was a surgical nurse at Graham General Hospital for many years.

Martha Jane Lewis

Martha Jane Lewis, 80, of Cleburne, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016.  Jane was born Oct. 28, 1935, in Temple, to Leonard Harmon Moore and Naomi Lewis Moore. She graduated in 1959 from Bethany Nazarene College, now Southern Nazarene University, with a bachelor of science degree in education. She married Kenneth R. Lewis on Dec. 17, 1966 in Temple. Jane taught elementary school for 27 years, teaching 10 years before starting a family and then taking 10 years off to be a stay-at-home mom. She returned to teaching in 1979 in Graham.

Robert Eugene Cowley

Robert Eugene Cowley passed into his Lord’s arms on July 30, 2016. He was born Jan. 21, 1947 in Mineral Wells, the son of Robert W. Cowley and Maggie Russell Cowley. He married Cathy Clark on May 13, 1966 and joined the Army shortly afterwards. He was very involved in his community. He coached his son’s Little League team, he was Scout Master for Troop 87 and was very active in the Possum Kingdom Lion’s Club. Robert was a very hard worker. He worked in construction, carpentry, landscaping, masonry; there wasn’t much that he couldn’t do.

Spencer Boyd Street III

Spencer Boyd Street III, 49, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Spencer was born Nov. 8, 1966 in Fort Worth, to Carole Ann (Grisham) and the late Spencer Boyd Street Jr. He graduated from Graham High School, then received his bachelor’s degree from Trinity University, where he was a member of B.L. Lancer fraternity. He then earned his master’s degree from the University of Southern Louisiana.

Valentin Monroy

Valentin Monroy, 78, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in Graham. Rosary will be held Monday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Valentin was born Feb. 14, 1938 in La Pechuga, Hidalgo, Mexico to the late Prospero and Teresa (Gonzalez) Monroy. He worked in road construction and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Tommie Haase

Tommie Haase, 92, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held Monday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. in Redtop Cemetery, under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home. Tommie was born April 23, 1924 in Brazos, to the late John Clayton and Alice Irene (Cunningham) Edwards. She married Albert William Haase on July 22, 1941 in Frederick, Okla., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2008. Tommie was a rancher and moved to Graham in 1975, then moved to Fort Worth in 2008. Survivors include her daughter, Paula Kitchen and husband, Bill of Fort Worth; sister, Prudence A.

Patrick Jeton Butler

Patrick Jeton Butler, 73, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 in Howardwick. Visitation was 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, in the Clarendon Church of Christ, with Brad Thompson and Chris Moore officiating. Graveside services are 2:30 p.m. the same day in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Pat was born July 27, 1943 in Amarillo, to Loyd and Jeton Butler. He married Carolyn Hastings on May 15, 1970. Pat was a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer after 27 years of service.

James McCord

James was born Jan. 16 1958 in Bridgeport, to Lee and Lucille McCord. He attended schools in Bridgeport and graduated from Bridgeport High school in 1976. James was a truck driver for 37 years, having driven for Sysco Foods, SAIA Motor Freight, UPS/Worldwide Dedicated Services and most recently for CTC/Boise Cascade. James was a member of Richfield Christian Church and served as deacon and board member as well as on various committees. James enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
