Anna Lou Chick Brizendine was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Bryson, TX. She died on March 23, 2022, at her home in McKinney, TX. She was 84 years old. She was the daughter of Robert Powell Chick and Carrie Belle Rogers Chick. Anna was the mother of four children: Floyd Leon Park and wife Cherel of Canyon, TX; Anna Kathleen Roberson Carl and husband Andrew Selking of Hillsboro, TX; and Patrick Kerry Roberson and wife Vicki of Denton, TX. She was preceded in death by son Sean Alton Roberson of Wimberley, TX who passed away in 1989.

Vickie Louise Maltony Arrell, 60, of Cuero passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. She was born April 29, 1961 in San Antonio to Edwin Victor and Diana Louise Meadows Maltony. She married Rocky Arrell on July 27, 1994 in Snyder, Texas. Vickie worked for Cuero ISD for fourteen years. She was most recently teaching her passion of history to seventh and eighth grade students at Cuero Junior High. Vickie enjoyed traveling, cooking and reading. She also had a love for theater arts, especially opera. Her greatest pride and joy was her family.

Herschel Ray Poteet, 82, passed away on March 13, 2022, in Jacksboro. A viewing was held from 5-7 p.m. on March 17 at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be announced at a later date under the direction of McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Jerry Lake was born in Graham on Aug. 5, 1941, and she went to be with Lord on March 9, 2022. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Cottonwood Cemetery in Bryson. Visitation was held Wednesday from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. prior to the service at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Betty Lou (Carey) Smith passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 11, 2022, at Presbyterian Manor, surrounded by loved ones. She was 91. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 11 a.m., in the Sanctuary of Floral Heights Methodist Church, under the direction of Rev. Dr. Isaac Butterworth. Burial will follow in the family plot at Crestview Memorial Park.

Earlene Lucille Farabee Price, age 88, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Olney. Funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Morrison Funeral Home. Burial followed at Jean Cemetery in Jean, TX.

Earlene was born Feb. 7, 1934 to Gordon and Allagra (Simons) Farabee in New Castle TX. She graduated from New Castle High School in 1952 and married James Cates the same year.

Rogers Nanny, 86, passed away Saturday March 12, 2022. Funeral was at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Morrison Funeral Home. Burial followed in Pioneer Cemetery.

Rogers was born Nov. 15, 1935, in Paint Creek, Texas to Ruby (Medford) Nanny and Lewis Nanny.  He received his Bachelor Degree from Texas A&M. Rogers married Pat McWhorter, Jan. 31, 1959, in Rochester. Rogers was the Finance Director for the City of Graham; after retirement he worked at Graham Savings and Loan for several years. Rogers was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church Graham.

Cristina Elaine (Thomas) Reeve, age 41, passed away in her home in Graham on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, surrounded by her family and friends. Funeral service was Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2 p.m. in Faith Center Assembly of God. Burial followed at Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Marcia Jean Rose Berkley, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home in Graham. A visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.

Marcia was born Dec. 16, 1956 in Graham to Margaret Jean (Seals) Rose and Kenneth Ray Rose. She was a lifetime resident of Graham.  Marcia married Billy Ray Berkley and he preceded in death. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren.

Helen Frances Hawkins, 88, passed away peacefully on Feb. 26, 2022, in Graham, Texas, surrounded by family. A celebration of her life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Graham at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2. Interment will be at 9:30 a.m. at Hawkins Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home of Graham. Family visitation was held Tuesday, March 1, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
