Each election season many politicians play on our emotions. This one is not any different.
Let us see if we can take some of the emotions out and look at the facts.
At the local level let us look at the county judge race.
We have Judge Graham who in less than four years has lowered the county tax rate, restored Young County’s eligibility for state and federal grants and secured more than a million dollars in grant funding.
He repaired the county’s relationships with the cities of Graham and Olney, built the county annex without using local tax dollars, created a mental health critical response team, updated long-outdated emergency management plans to bring the county back into good standing with the State of Texas and helped reunite a fractured volunteer fire department system.
For more than three decades his opponent has been in the Young County government. Look how he left us when he retired.
Judge Graham is a man of action and transparency.
Check out Judge Graham’s Facebook page; it’s the most transparent and up to date of the workings going on in Young County.
Speak to your local city and county leaders, ask them how their working relationship is with Judge Graham.
The citizens of Young County are going to get what they vote for. We’ve seen what a little over three years of Judge Graham has accomplished. We should continue forward and not fall back to the past.
