8th grade Steers win Stephenville tournament

This past weekend, the magic number for the Graham 8th grade boys basketball team was three. As in three quality wins they claimed during the Stephenville Tournament. Graham defeated Aledo, Fort Worth Brewer and Abilene Wylie over the course of two days to bring home the hardware. Thursday night, Jan. 19, the Steers will be back in action against Barwise Junior High on the road. In the opening contest, the Steers took care of business against the Aledo Bearcats, winning by a score of 40-27. Leading the offense for Graham was Daniel Gilbertson with 19 points followed by Damien Zemsky with 8 points. Trent White scored 6, with Luke Holland adding 3. Both Zack Martin and Hunter Lanham each scored 2 points. Against the Bears from Fort Worth Brewer, the contest was a little closer.
