Balanced attack carries Steers past Bobcats

Five different Graham players scored a touchdown in Friday’s 61-14 beatdown of last-place Krum at Newton Field.

The only thing slowing the mighty Steers offense was the halftime break which was extended due to the halftime festivities.

Graham (5-3, 3-0 District 3-4A Division II) pulled away with a first quarter flurry of touchdowns, as the Steers scored on eight of their 10 first half possessions to run away with the victory.

With the win, the Steers extend their winning streak to five and remain undefeated in district action with two games remaining.

Graham started quickly, jumping out to a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. Following a Krum punt to begin the game, the Steers took the opening kickoff and moved down the field methodically for one of their longest plays of the entire game.
