With no prior knowledge of the event, one may have walked into the Graham High School gym Friday at 5:00 p.m. thinking a team had just clenched a trip to the state tournament. Though the gravity of the game was not that crucial, the JV Blues’ last-minute, come-from-behind win over Burkburnett sent good feelings through every Graham fan in attendance. Blues fall to Burkburnett for first district loss

The Lady Blues volleyball team took a hit Friday night at the Graham High School gym, getting stunned in three sets by the Burkburnett Bulldogs 25-20; 25-18; 27-25. The loss gives the Blues a 2-1 record in district play with five games to go, including a rematch with Burkburnett. Jasmine Sims’ streak of triple-doubles ended Friday one dig short. Sims had 14 kills, 10 assists and nine digs. Nicole King added 25 digs. Delaney Sullivent had nine digs, and Marleigh Sanders had 15 assists and 13 digs.
