Blues fall to Burkburnett for first district loss

The Lady Blues volleyball team took a hit Friday night at the Graham High School gym, getting stunned in three sets by the Burkburnett Bulldogs 25-20; 25-18; 27-25. The loss gives the Blues a 2-1 record in district play with five games to go, including a rematch with Burkburnett. Jasmine Sims’ streak of triple-doubles ended Friday one dig short. Sims had 14 kills, 10 assists and nine digs. Nicole King added 25 digs. Delaney Sullivent had nine digs, and Marleigh Sanders had 15 assists and 13 digs. Baylee Loomis finished the game with three kills and three blocks, while Emily Davis had 19 digs and four kills. Finally, Emma Ranger added nine kills in the game. The Blues play Vernon, Friday, Oct. 7 in Vernon.
