Bryson baseball scores 16 unanswered in win
Bryson head coach Brent Tuel knew his team had enough fight in them and would not give up. The Cowboys rallied from an early double-digit deficit to defeat Vernon Northside 16-11 in their season-opener Tuesday at home.
Bryson trailed 11-0 in the second inning when Tuel inserted Zander Tinney in to pitch and he delivered in a big way. Tinney gave the Cowboys five innings of not allowing runs, working around five hits and two walks. Tuel credited his junior hurler for stepping in a tough situation, with the score lopsided and giving his offense a chance to get going.
Tinney, Landon Stephens, Dillon Orr and Harley Hammond played a major role in the win.
