Bryson Cowgirls win pair of games at Pirate Classic

PERRIN - Following a tough loss at home versus Strawn, the Bryson Cowgirls went into last weekend in search of a spark to ignite their season. At the Pirate Classic on the campus of Perrin-Whitt High School, the Cowgirls managed to come away with two momentum building victories. Bryson was scheduled to take on Slidell Tuesday night on the road, and will travel back to Perrin-Whitt for a contest against the Lady Pirates on Dec. 9. Chico 50 Bryson 29 A slow second quarter performance hindered the Cowgirls against the Chico Lady Dragons in the opening game. After taking a 12-5 lead following the first quarter, the Cowgirls were outscored 19-8, leaving them trailing 24-20 at halftime. Chico kept the pressure going in the third quarter as the Lady Dragons outscored Bryson 18-7. Bryson managed just two points in the fourth quarter.
