The Bryson Cowboys took down the No. 3 team in the TAPPS Divison II with Friday night’s 69-24 home victory over Notre Dame. Leading the charge for Bryson was Paul Davidson who had a supremely well-rounded game with an interception, a fumble recovery, two receiving touchdowns and 76 receiving yards. Brayden Houser passed for 103 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown. Ethan Robinson rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns. “We started fast and so did they,” Bryson coach Jason Briles said. “We exchanged the first couple of touchdowns and then we finally settled in defensively.” Briles added that his team is playing good football right now and hopes to continue the momentum. “I don’t have a lot of complaints about how we’ve played,” he said. “We’re rolling right now. We’re four or five games ahead of where we were last year at the same time. We’re playing faster already this year.” The Cowboys will face their toughest opponent, thus far, this week in undefeated Moran.
