Cowgirls softball gets wins in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS - Bryson’s Cowgirl softball squad managed to grab a pair of wins this weekend. In a stacked field, the Cowgirls competed at the Sunrise Optimist Tournament from Wichita Falls. In the opening contest, the Cowgirls defeated the Quanah Lady Indians by a score of 7-1. Bryson got five runs in the second inning. Mikayla Tyson (2) and Kyla Jones each collected RBI hits in the inning. Kayleigh Pippin and Hannah Robinson scored on throwing errors. Breanna Denton sent a dribbler down the line in the third inning, allowing Pippin and Robinson to score again via throwing error to make it 7-0. Quanah got its lone run in the bottom half of the fourth. Jones threw four innings of work, striking out seven while allowing just one run on one hit with four walks.
