GHS athletes earn postseason honors
Postseason honors continue to roll in for Graham High School athletes. Corey Ballew continues to get recognition for his play this baseball season and a list of softball honors was announced over the past two weeks.
Ballew, third baseman and pitcher for Steers baseball, recently represented the Steers at the Big Country FCA All-Star Festival, along with Hunter Lanham, JJ Lee, Javier Leija, Addison Kimberling, Morgan Patterson, Callie Dobbs and Marilyn Milton. He’s earned a spot in the HSBCA All-Star game taking place June 19 in Round Rock. For his play at third base, he was also named to the THSBCA 4A Elite All-Star Team.
Ballew finished the season with a .368 batting average in 37 games. He had an 89% fielding percentage 61 putouts and 38 assists in 111 attempts. Ballew will attend and play baseball at Hardin-Simmons University.
