GHS boys golf takes second at home

It’s been a busy few days for the Graham Steers golf team. This past weekend the Steers competed at the 4A Regional Preview at Shadow Hills golf course in Lubbock. Monday, Graham was back in action hosting the Steer Invitational event. Graham finished with a team total score of 703 at the regional preview. Cade Barnett shot a career-low 87 in the first round, finishing with a 178 overall. Parker Oliver also shot a career-low in the second round with an 87, giving him a total of 187. Garrett Box finished with a total of 227, shooting a career-low 109 in the second round. Kolton Carmichael shot a 164 with Keaton Boyle shooting a 174. The Steers claimed second on Monday, shooting a team total of 341. Graham’s Cayden Pledger was one of three Steers to medal at the event. Pledger shot an 81, along with teammates Rob Lucas (98) and Calder Seebeck (132). Keaton Boyle led the team standings for Graham with a 74. Kolton Carmichael registered an 85, with teammate Cade Barnett close behind with an 89. Parker Oliver claimed a 93, with Garrett Box carding a 105. The Graham boys golf team will be back in action on March 7.
