With summer break in full swing, the Graham High School athletic program is continuing with a full slate of summer camps to keep Graham’s young athletes active and improving their skills.

The Graham Steers are hosting their annual boys’ basketball camp June 8-10 at GHS.

Led by Steers head coach Quenton Fossett, the camp is open to incoming third through ninth graders. The cost for basketball camp is $50.

The third through fifth-grade session will take place 9-11 a.m. inside the GHS main gym. The sixth through ninth-grade session will follow from 1-3 p.m.

Basketball camp is designed to help players learn the fundamentals of basketball, improve their skills and become all-around better basketball players. Campers will receive a free T-shirt at camp.

The GHS athletic program would like to remind Graham Junior High School and GHS athletes that the 2026 strength and conditioning program begins this month at the GHS fieldhouse and on Newton Field.

This year’s program will take place June 1 through July 29. The cost is $50, with scholarships available.

The program, which aims to keep athletes working out over summer break, is open to incoming seventh graders through incoming seniors, with sessions split into three groups.

Boys going into 10th through 12th grade will run from 6:30 a.m. until 8 a.m.

All participating girls will follow from 8-9:30 a.m. Incoming seventh through ninth-grade boys will go from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Camp will take a two-week break from June 22 to July 5. The program will be rain or shine. Each participant will need to bring their own towel and water bottle.

Incoming seventh graders will be required to complete a physical prior to participating. For more information, contact GHS Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Clay McChristian at 940-521-8360 or email clay.mcchristian@grahamisd.com.
