GHS girls golf wins Lady Blues Invite

There was no place like home Monday for the Lady Blues varsity golf team, who won their second tournament of the year at the Lady Blues Invitational, held at at the Graham Country Club. Graham won with a total team score of 369, 20 strokes distant from second-place Bridgeport. The Lady Blues junior varsity squad also competed and claimed seventh overall with a team score of 499. Ashley Choate led the Lady Blues with an 85 on the day. Abbi Iles carded a 94, with teammate Maggie Nunley close behind with 95. Marleigh Sanders also registered a 95, with Delaney Sullivent at 103. As for the junior varsity, Lady Blues Dutchess Dearmond had the lowest score with a 112. Sarah Farmer turned in a 125 for the tournament.
