GHS XC runs at district meet, Weaver moves onto regionals
The Steers and Lady Blues cross country team ran Tuesday, Oct. 10 in the Region 6 district meet at Stephenville in the final event of the season for most runners.
In the race that mattered the most this year, Graham’s Tyson Weaver finished fifth overall in the varsity boys 5K to advance to the regional meet in Lubbock held in a couple weeks. The top 10 individual finishers in both the boys and girls races advanced to regionals.
As a team, neither the Steers nor the Lady Blues will move on to the regional race as the Steers finished fourth out of five teams while the Lady Blues finished fifth out of five. For teams, the top three teams in each race advanced.
The season has ended for all GHS runners aside from Weaver, who will continue to prepare for the regional meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, held over two days Oct. 23-24. Below are the rest of the results for the Steers and Lady Blues in their final race of the year.
