Gober earns basketball All-Region honors

The accolades have continued to roll in for Lady Blues basketball. This time it is junior guard Kate Gober. She was named to the 4A Region 1 All-Region team by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches earlier this month.

Gober was the team leader in points with 15.2 points per game. She also added 3.2 rebounds and 3.9 steals per game for the Lady Blues, who finished the season with an 18-11 record.

“After finding out I made All-Region I immediately hugged my dad,” Gober said. “He has helped me become the basketball player I am today and pushed me to work harder. Even during the covid shutdown, we would practice two or more times a week even with the thought that I might not get to have my junior season. Getting this honor was such a great feeling and I’m proud to represent the Lady Blues.”
