Grace honored at Booster Bash

The annual Booster Bash is typically a joyous community pep-rally to kick off the fall sports season, but things took an emotional turn toward reverence Monday night when Steers head coach Kenny Davidson announced that Graham’s helmets would feature a “TG” emblem to honor coach Tommy Grace, who passed away this summer. “We miss him so much,” Davidson told the crowd while fighting tears in a heartfelt speech.“We had to do something to honor him.” Davidson presented a helmet to Grace’s widow, Debra, while the ample crowd at Newton Field gave a standing ovation for the beloved coach, his wife, and the ...
