Graham falters against All Saints, but comes back vs. Tulia

The Steers lost momentum during the end of the Graham Varsity Tournament on Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18, with two losses against FW All Saints, but they ended with a win against Tulia to bring their final tournament record to 3-2. Fort Worth All Saints 2, Graham 1 The first game on Friday against the Fort Worth All Saints was a low scoring game for both teams, who displayed strong pitching games. The Steers led at the beginning of the game with a sacrifice fly to the left fielder which allowed Adam Groves to score and brought the Steers to a 1-0 lead. In top of the fourth the All Saints managed to advance to second base on an error and then get a home run, to get 2 points, bringing the game to its final score of 1-2. Despite a struggle by the Steers to regain their lead all the way up to the bottom of the seventh inning, the team was ultimately unsuccessful. Dillon Rodgers pitched for seven innings for the Steers, allowed two runs and three hits, struck out six and walked one. Rogers along with Groves, Tucker Horn, Jaxon Brockway and Chance Hornsey all had one hit to lead the Steers. Fort Worth All Saints 4, Graham 2 The Steers were set to play the Oklahoma team of Konawa to start off Saturday play, but that team did not have enough pitchers due to injuries.
