With a 1-0 win over Glen Rose in Game 2 of the bi-district playoff May 7, Steers head coach Allen McGee achieved his 200th career win as a baseball head coach. Graham High School athletic director Kenny Davidson honored Coach McGee last week with a plaque commemorating his 200th win.

Coach McGee was hired as the Steers’ head baseball coach in May 2021, following the retirement of coach Jim Bob Williams. This is McGee’s third stint at Graham High School. His first arrival in Graham was in 2007. McGee served as baseball assistant for GHS and on the Graham Junior High School football staff. He spent 2009 as the head baseball coach in Rotan before returning to Graham in 2010 before leaving again in 2015. McGee was 100-55 in five years with Graham High School before leaving for Vandegrift, where he coached for six years.

Aside from coaching baseball, McGee coaches the receivers on the football team. During the school day, he teaches math at GHS.
