(THOMAS WALLNER | THE GRAHAM LEADER) Gabe Shook took first in the Pole Vault Small School 1A, 2A event held Saturday, March 15 during the PK Relay. Graham hosted over 25 schools at Newton Field for the event which has been ongoing for 77 years.
Graham hosted the 77th annual PK Relays this weekend and schools from around the state showed up to take part in the meet which had multiple events at Newton Field.
After being canceled last year, the event went off without a hitch Saturday, March 15 in Graham despite windy conditions the day before.
Schools that participated in the relay were Bellevue, Bowie, Brock, Brownwood, Bryson, Callisburg, Chico, Electra, Forestburg, Godley, Graford, Graham, Henrietta, Holliday, Jacksboro, Lipan, Mineral Wells, Newcastle, Olney, Saint Jo, Santo, Springtown, Thesa Riders, Tolar, Vernon and Windthorst.
