Graham hosts State Qualifying Tournament
The Graham 7-on-7 team began their quest for state over the weekend with the Graham State Qualifying Tournament. It is believed to be the first time the town has hosted a SQT. Despite falling in the tournament championship game, the Steers saw several bright spots.
Weather caused havoc for the first part of the day Saturday, as the games were delayed two hours with heavy rain in the area during the morning hours. Graham was originally scheduled to host 16 teams, but with only one turf field, half the teams played their games in Springtown. Games were condensed to only 15-minute halves and 10 minutes in between games.
