The JV Lady Blues picked up another win and defensively dominated the Bowie Lady Rabbits.

The Lady Blues held the Lady Rabbits to just three points during the first three quarters of play Thursday, Nov. 20.

“They’re rotating very well and anticipating unbelievably well,” coach Hunter Hayes said. “They’re bought in, they’re bending their legs and anticipating passes and getting their fingertips on the ball. That’s why they’re getting so many steals.”

The Lady Blues started the game out in front and never looked back. The team ended the first quarter with a 9-3 lead over the Lady Rabbits.

McKynley Corley, Addison Gober and Janelle Kinney each hit two point jumpers while Gober and Carmen McGee combined for three free throw makes.

Graham extended their lead at halftime to 27-3 after an 18-point second quarter. Addison Gober exploded offensively with three triples as well as a midrange make and a free throw. Emerson Taylor, McGee and Kinney also hit midrange jumpers to round out the scoring in the quarter.

The Lady Blues came out firing once again in the third quarter with 15 points and a 42-3 lead over the Lady Rabbits.

Gober hit three two-point shots and another three-pointer while Maddyx Marin hit a pair of twos and Gabby Noyola hit a midrange jumper as well.

The Lady Rabbits had their best quarter of the game in the fourth quarter scoring 10 points. However, the deficit was too much to overcome as Graham coasted into a victory.

McGee, Marin and Kinney hit the final two point shots for the Lady Blues as they went on to win 48-13.

The Lady Blues will travel Nov. 24-25 to Bowie for a tournament before the Thanksgiving holiday.
