JV Lady Blues take down Memorial in early week matchup

The JV Lady Blues played an early week matchup this week against the Wichita Falls Memorial Lady Mavericks and made the hometown crowd proud. 

The Lady Blues defeated the Lady Mavericks 42-26 in the contest. There was solid scoring performances all across the stat sheet during the game Tuesday, Dec. 16. 

The Lady Blues ended the first quarter with six points to lead by four with a 6-2 lead. 

Maddyx Marin led the way with four points on two midrange jumpers while Addyson Gober also added a two point shot. 

The Lady Blues tacked on another nine points in the second quarter to lead 15-8 at halftime. Carmen McGee hit a pair of midrange jumpshots while Gober added a three pointer from beyond the arc. 

Gabby Noyola also added a midrange jumpshot of her own. 

The Lady Blues didn’t miss a step coming out of halftime scoring 15 points in the third quarter to take a 30-19. 

Janelle Kinney led the way with seven points in the quarter on a three pointer and two midrange jumpshots. 

Marin hit a pair of two point jumpers as well while also adding two free throws. Gober rounded things out with a midrange bucket of her own. 

The Lady Blues tacked on another 12 points in the fourth quarter in order to seal the victory. Gober scored three points on midrange jumpshots, Marin added two midrange scores and McKynley Corley finished things off with a two point bucket as well. 

After a matchup Friday, Dec. 19 the junior varsity Lady Blues pick things up at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 6. on the road for a matchup against Eula.
