Lady Blues’ season ends in bi-district playoff
The Lady Blue season came to an end Friday night following Game 2 of the bi-district playoff against Lampasas. After an 8-7 walk-off loss Thursday night in Lampasas, the Lady Blues dropped Game 2 Friday night at the Graham High School softball field 6-1.
The losses end the Lady Blues 2022 season at 13-15.
Game 1: Lampasas 8, Lady Blues 7
The Lady Blues fell behind during the top of the first inning and came back to take a lead into the bottom of the seventh inning. The Lady Badgers came through with clutch plays to win in eight innings.
Paris Tate walked to open the game and represented the Lady Blues’ only runner during the first inning. Following a strikeout and pop out, Reese Calhoun hit into a fielder’s choice with Tate forced out at second base.
