Lady Blues 2-0 after win over Lady Leopards

The Lady Blues remained undefeated to start the season after taking down the Wichita Falls Legacy Lady Leopards in a blowout victory. Graham improved to a 2-0 record after the win. 

The matchup took place Saturday, Nov. 15 and the Lady Blues blew out the Lady Leopards 60-39. 

Graham started things off, ending the opening quarter with 15 points and following that up in the second quarter with 14 points to finish the first half with 29 total points. 

The Lady Blues went on to have their highest scoring quarter in the third quarter with 18 points and finished things off with 13 points in the fourth quarter to reach the final score. 

Katy McGehee led the team in scoring with 13 points while Gabbie Reyes was right behind her with 12 points. 

Briley Randall and Addyson Weaver were tied for the third most points on the day with 11 points each while both Ava Street and Adi Pinkston had five points. 

Mayci Ryans rounded out the scoring for the Lady Blues with three points. 

Weaver was a force in the paint recording 10 rebounds to lead the way for the Lady Blues. Ryans, Street, McGehee, Pinkston, Randall and Reyes followed behind her, combining for 23 additional rebounds. 

Both McGehee and Pinkston tied for the most steals in the matchup defensively with three steals between both of them. 

Behind them in steals were Savannah Fricks, Ryans, Bentleigh Martin, Weaver and Reyes who combined for six more steals. 

Ryans had the most assists on the night with four total while Street, Martin, Pinkston, Weaver and Reyes rounded out that category with seven additional assists. Randall also picked up a key block defensively. 

McGehee led the team in deflections with three, while Fricks, Street, Martin, Pinkston, Randall and Reyes all combined for nine more deflections. 

The Lady Blues’ next matchup after their game Tuesday, Nov. 18 against Windthorst is at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at home against the Bowie Ladyrabbits.
