The Lady Blues traveled to Mineral Wells and knew exactly what was on the line. A win gives the Lady Blues a district championship. A win along with an Iowa Park loss gives the Lady Blues the district championship and the first seed in the upcoming bi-district playoff. The Lady Blues turned a first-quarter shutout into a 60-23 victory and a third-consecutive district championship.

Scoring was slow at first. It took nearly half of the first quarter for the Lady Blues to find points. After going ahead 2-0 at the 4:50 mark, the Lady Blues never looked back. Kate Gober scored five of the Lady Blues’ 11 points to take an 11-0 lead into the second quarter. Taylor Wilborn, Cambrie Cowser and Katie Coyac each had two points.

The Lady Rams ended their shutout at the 7:22 mark in the second quarter with a pair of free throws by Lela Alifa. She scored four of the Lady Rams’ 11 points in the second quarter. Gober added seven of the Lady Blues’ nine points and was aided by a field goal from Madi Wilde. The Lady Blues took a 20-11 lead into halftime.
