Lady Blues clench playoffs

Wed, 10/19/2022 - 3:00 pm

The Lady Blues are heading to the playoffs. Their spot was clenched with a 25-15, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17 win on the road Friday, Oct. 14 against the Lady Lions in Brownwood.

Following last week’s win at Mineral Wells, the Lady Blues needed a win to finish no worse than fourth in the district. With two wins over the Lady Rams and the Lady Lions, the Lady Blues can finish no worse than third place.

The Lady Blues had no issue taking control of the match in the opening set. Tatum Westerman served two aces, while Olga Morales earned five of her team-high 11 kills in the first set. The Lady Blues combined for five blocks in the first set, including block kills by Braylee Mayes and Lillian Noble.
