The Lady Blues improved to an even 2-2 Tuesday night in dominating fashion. The team hosted Petrolia on short notice and walked away with a convincing 71-24 victory in front of a home crowd.

Maddie Mandela started hot and continued to lead the Lady Blues in the victory. In a 9-1 run by the Lady Blues Mandela scored five of the nine points, including converting an an-one opportunity. It’s the second fast start by Mandela in two games as she bounces back from a slow start to the season.

“I think Maddie put a lot of pressure on herself to start the season,” Lady Blues coach Ky Graham said. “With the three volleyball players out (including two senior players), I think Maddie put it on herself to make up for that. Tonight and against Jacksboro, she hit a few shots early and that’s a huge boost for her.”
