The Lady Blues completed the first half of the district schedule with a win Tuesday night. In Mineral Wells, the Lady Blues walked away with a 3-0 victory, 25-16 25-9, 25-13. The win improved the Lady Blues’ district record to 5-1.

Mineral Wells took advantage of a slow start by the Lady Blues to open with a 6-1 lead. Isavel Ramirez scored on an ace along with kills from Abbey Tincher and Marlee Lawhon. Three errors were committed by the Lady Blues in that span. Trinity Gregory earned a kill on a tip over the net to briefly tie the set at 1-1.

Three straight errors by the Lady Rams shrank the deficit to two points. The Lady Blues could not take advantage and the Lady Rams had pushed their lead back to four points at 9-5 after a kill by Caylee Cloud and an ace by Hannah Perales. A serve into the net by Perales following the ace, started a 7-0 run by the Lady Blues from which the Lady Rams could not recover.
