The Lady Blues played their final home game of the regular season against the Brock Lady Eagles this week and after fighting hard, the team was not able to pick up the win.

The teams met Tuesday, Oct. 21 and head coach Marci Faulk continued to emphasize to the team that the number one aspect to improve going forward was consistency.

“Again tonight I talked about consistency,” Faulk said. “Heading into the playoffs we just have to put more of those plays together, string those along and go on three or four point runs versus one great play and one or two mistakes.”

The Lady Blues started off hot in set one with Emily Hughes picking up a point and Katy McGehee picking up an ace at the service line.

Hughes and Rylee Moore continued to pick up kills in the front row as well to keep the set within one point, but eventually the Lady Eagles pulled out in front to take a 10 point lead, 16-6.

Kya Cooper, Madison Cauble and McGehee continued to pick up kills but set one ended with a 25-13 victory for Brock.
Once again the Lady Blues started off hot in set two as the team jumped out to a 7-3 lead off of points and kills from McGehee, Cooper, Hughes and Cauble.

However, Brock dug themselves out of the early hole to take the lead. The Lady Eagles lead kept a gradual pace until eventually winning set two 25-17.

Graham gave it all they could in set three but Brock simply outmatched them as the Lady Blues lost set three 25-13.

The Lady Blues final matchup of the regular season takes place at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, against the Mineral Wells Lady Rams.
