Graham High School played host to a powerlifting competition this past Thursday, Feb. 1. The Lady Blues and JV Steers competed in the event against other schools around the area. Schools that had both boys and girls competing were Graham, Peaster and Decatur while Bridgeport only brought a boys team.
The teams competed in the high school’s fieldhouse where they showcased their strength in front of other competitors and fans. Athletes performed three lifts: squat, bench press and deadlift.
