The Graham Lady Blues showed up in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association as the No. 15 ranked 4A team in the state. The honor comes after a week in which the Blues fell to 3A No. 8 ranked team, Boyd, before disposing with Brownwood and Jacksboro. "It came out that we're No. 15 on Monday but they didn't find out until Wednesday," Faulk said. "I didn't really want them to know, but it came out and I think that has given them some confidence. It kind of validates the work you're putting in." With the Blues already struggling with playing down to the level of lesser opponents, Faulk thought the news of the rankings would make the team over-confident. Instead, it has galvanized the Blues to live up to the ranking and perhaps even move up in the weekly polls. "We've had two of our most intense practices Wednesday and Thursday after talking about that, so I'm optimistic that we'll get back on track and play our best ball in the future." The Blues last game, Tuesday's 25-17; 25-17; 25-21 win over Jacksboro was a continuation of Graham getting the win, while not looking their best at the same time.
