Lady Blues split games going into Thanksgiving break
The Lady Blues split a pair of back-to-back games this week leading into the Thanksgiving holiday. After traveling to Windthorst and enjoying a blowout victory, 66-33, the team hosted Jim Ned and suffered a massive defeat of their own with a 66-36 loss.
It has been a grueling span of days for the Lady Blues. Several members were supporting the football team in Lubbock last week and followed it up with three games in four days.
Monday, the Lady Blues traveled to Windthorst for a meeting with the 2A Trojanettes. Led by a quick start from Kate Gober and stifling defense, the Lady Blues jumped ahead early and never looked back. Her 12 points, along with six from Maddie Mandela aided the Lady Blues to an 18-5 lead. The Trojanettes were held to a single field goal in the quarter.
