Graham found itself tested at times and in control at others during a road match at Burkburnett High School on Tuesday night.

But each game ended the same with the Lady Blues earning a 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-21) sweep to extend its hot start to district. Chloe Menard continues to be a force at the net for league foes. The junior had a team-best seven kills to go along with 15 assists, nine digs and three blocks.

Graham dominated for the majority of the sets, taking advantage of a disorganized Burkburnett team which hurt itself at times with a lack of communication. Due to disciplinary reasons Tuesday was the first time in four district games which Burkburnett had its full roster available, but the Lady Blues size and skill at the net proved to be too much to overcome.

Graham found itself in sole possession of first place in District 6-4A after the match, with Iowa Park’s five-set victory over Vernon on the same night.

The Lady Bulldogs challenged the Lady Blues early on in set one. Burkburnett and Graham engaged in a 13-all tie before kills from Emma Ranger and Britain Thayer created a 16-13 advantage. From there the Lady Blues went on a 9-5 run to conclude the first..
