Lady Blues’ tracksters prepare to take state meet

Graham’s 4x200-meter relay team said preparing for the UIL Class 4A Track & Field State Meet feels normal at this point.
After six first place finishes in meets this season and a trip to state last year, the Lady Blues are prepared to top last year’s sixth-place finish.
Yet as Summer Croxton, Claire Jones, Rosie Schaffer, Chloe Menard and alternate Cambrie Cowser prepare to head to Austin, they all agreed the feat is special to them.
“I think being able to go last year and gain that experience will only help us,” Jones said. “Going in I think our mindset is a little calmer than this time a year ago. This year we are more focused because we know what it will be like.”
