Lady Blues volleyball host multi-team scrimmage

The Lady Blues volleyball team welcomed the new season by hosting a scrimmage on Friday at Graham High School gymnasium. Eight different schools took part in the scrimmage.

While the exhibition was basically another practice, with the exception of going up against other schools for the first time, head coach Marci Faulk got plenty of minutes from her young team.

The matches featured no score in the games. Teams competed for 35 minutes in one match with the court separated into two different games going on at once.

Three different Graham teams took part in the scrimmage. The Lady Blues varsity, junior varsity and freshman squads all participated.

The varsity Lady Blues went up against preseason ranked Class 3A No. 5 Boyd in their second game of the day. The Lady Jackets, who were coming off a state tournament appearance last season, gave Graham a back-and-forth battle for the entire time.
