The Lady Blues bounced back in a big way on Tuesday from their 3-0 loss to Victory Christian. The team traveled to 2A No. 6 Albany and handed the Lady Lions their second loss of the season in a convincing 3-0 victory, 25-14, 25-11, 25-16.

For various reasons, the Lady Blues were short three players. Marilyn Milton, Sarah Sanders and Lily Gregory were all out of the lineup. Maddie Mandela pulled double duty Tuesday evening playing in both JV and varsity.

The opening set saw the Lady Blues jumping ahead quickly 11-4. Strong swings led to five kills and several errors from the Lady Lions. Leah Holland, Emma Parker and Hannah Isom had kills in the opening run with Morgan Patterson serving up an ace. It was Holland’s second kill of the night that forced the Lady Lions to retreat into a timeout.
